Weather: Dry and warm with sunny spells
The weather is forecast to be dry and warm for many, with some rain throughout the afternoon.
Dry and bright for most with some sunshine at times. Cloudier in the far northeast of Scotland with outbreaks of rain clearing. Cloudier in the southwest too with rain spreading northeast to affect western areas through the afternoon.
Cloud and rain continuing to spread north and east to affect central and western areas, perhaps turning heavy at times in southwest. Dry elsewhere with variable cloud, chilly northern Scotland.
Further outbreaks of rain spreading erratically north and east, though northern Scotland and much of eastern England probably remaining dry.
Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:
Rain or showers, perhaps heavy, but also some dry and bright spells. Many regions dry on Wednesday and Thursday with sunny spells, although rain affecting the far northwest later.
