UK weather: Unseasonably warm weekend with bands of rain in north

Today:

A band of rain, heavy at first across Scotland and Northern Ireland, will edge slowly southeastwards, turning lighter and patchier as it reaches northern England and Wales. Elsewhere, morning fog patches clearing to leave a fine, warm afternoon.

Tonight:

Low cloud with patchy light rain and drizzle continuing southeastwards. Chilly with some fog patches either side of this, whilst breezy, showery conditions affect northern Scotland.

Sunday:

Cloud and occasional drizzle clearing southern England, else most parts dry with sunny spells. Remaining windy and showery across northern Scotland.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Many areas fine and dry throughout with spells of sunshine. Outbreaks of rain will spread to northern areas on Monday, this continuing across some central areas on Tuesday.
