Temperatures slightly below average. Some inland areas of England and southern Scotland seeing only isolated showers.

Today:

Some inland areas of England and southern Scotland seeing only isolated showers; plenty of sunshine and light winds, so not feeling too bad after a cold start. Elsewhere showers rather more widespread but some places escaping. Temperatures slightly below average.


Tonight:

Showers continuing in some western fringes and also the northeast. Elsewhere any showers will be isolated, many areas dry with clear spells. Frost and patchy fog, especially in the south.

Wednesday:

Cloudier skies with showery rain affecting some eastern parts of England, some showers too in western fringes of UK. Elsewhere mainly dry, some sunshine. Rather cold and breezy for many.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Mostly dry and bright, although showers still likely in coastal areas. Rural frost possible Thursday night in the south. Progressively milder and wetter from the northwest later in the week.
