UK weather: Showers again for many with parts of southeast staying dry

Early evening showers over Scotland and northern England will slowly fade as we head into this evening

Today:

Showers, some heavy and thundery, will break out from the Midlands and East Anglia northwards into Scotland. Further south, cloud and showery rain developing over parts of Wales and southwest England spreads eastwards later. Far southeast England perhaps staying dry.

Tonight:

Early evening showers over Scotland and northern England slowly fading. Further south, some showery rain at times over southern and central England and Wales, especially over parts of southern England.


Monday:

Heavy showers again breaking out over parts of Scotland and northern England. Further south, some early showery rain with parts of southern England likely seeing heavy rain or thunderstorms later.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Sunny spells and isolated showers Tuesday, locally heavy in the south. Mostly dry with sunny spells thereafter. Cloudier conditions and some patchy rain in the northwest later Wednesday.
