Clear in eastern areas this evening, cloudier in the north and west

Today:

Band of cloud and some rain or drizzle moving south and west across Scotland, then England, except the southwest. Elsewhere, good deal of dry weather with sunny spells after early fog patches in the south. Showers in the far northeast.

Tonight:

Clear in eastern England with grass frost in places. Rather cloudy elsewhere with rain in north and northwest. Low cloud, mist and patchy fog for central and some western areas.


Wednesday:

A few light showers in central areas and some rain or drizzle in the northwest and far north. Else, dry with cloud breaking to give sunny spells, best in southeast.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Northern areas windy on Thursday with outbreaks of rain moving south. Otherwise plenty of dry weather with some sunny spells. Cold on Thursday and Friday night in the north.
