Here's the outlook for the UK today...

Here's what to expect when heading out about today and into next week...

Today:

Northern and central areas will have a mild day with low cloud and drizzle, perhaps some heavier rain at first. Northern Scotland will be brighter but cooler, and southern England and Wales will see warm sunshine once any fog clears.

Tonight:

Southern areas mostly fine. Clear spells leading to some fog especially for the southeast. Elsewhere, mostly cloudy with patchy drizzle and hill fog. Mild for most.

Monday:

Bright and fairly warm for a time in the southeast, but most areas cloudy with patchy rain and drizzle, and some hill fog especially later. Mild but breezier.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Unsettled with showers or longer spells of rain for many areas, heaviest in the west. Very mild at night and warm by day at first but turning colder on Thursday.
