UK weather: Friday fine and warm for many, isolated showers in south

Today:

Low cloud in some northeastern areas tending to disperse, most northern and central areas seeing some warm sunshine, although some North Sea coasts chillier. Southern parts of England and Wales cloudier for a time, with odd light showers possible. Breezy.

Tonight:

Low cloud increasing across some northeastern areas, while the northwest stays clearer and chilly. Much of England and Wales cloudier with possible showery outbreaks of rain, chiefly later. Remaining breezy.

Saturday:

Cloudier skies and showers affect parts of England and Wales, although the south probably turning brighter and warmer. Elsewhere, mostly dry, feeling cooler under patchy cloud and a brisk breeze.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Variable amounts of cloud with spells of sunshine at times. A good deal of dry weather but with a few showers in places each day.
