UK weather: Dry and sunny in the north with cloud covering southern England

Today:

A Band of cloud and patchy rain becomes slow-moving across southwest England. Otherwise most areas dry with sunshine, though a few showers far north of Scotland, and coastal areas of eastern England at first. Feeling colder in north, breezy too.

Tonight:

Many parts cold and clear with grass frost for central, northern and eastern UK. Windy with showers far northeast Scotland. Patchy low cloud and drizzle far southwest returning northeast later.

Saturday:

Fog patches in southwest clearing by midday. Fine and dry for many with cloud increasing in west. Strong winds and rain may affect Northern Ireland and western Scotland later.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Largely cloudy, although mainly dry away from the northwest on Sunday. Rain sweeping in from the southwest on Monday to all areas by Tuesday, turning windier too. Warm.
