What to expect if you're out and about in the UK today

Today:

Patchy rain in the east, else most places will be dry. Cloud breaking to allow sunny spells in places, mainly across central and southern Scotland, Wales and western England. Northern Ireland and western Scotland clouding over later with some drizzle.

Tonight:

Low cloud affecting both eastern and western areas with some drizzle in places. Clearer skies across central parts, allowing it to turn chilly some grass frost and some fog patches.


Sunday:

Fog patches slowly clearing. Low cloud in the east breaking to allow some sunny spells during the afternoon, though also a few showers. Wet and windy in the far northwest.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Changeable in the north with occasional rail followed by sunshine and showers, accompanied by strong winds at times. Drier further south but often cloudy with patchy morning fog.
