A fine end to the day for southern and some eastern parts and then a chilly night with clear spells for East Anglia and southern England. Elsewhere, mild and mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle for some.

Thursday:

Mostly cloudy but brighter at times for some eastern and southern parts. Outbreaks of rain away from the far south, particularly Scotland and Northern Ireland where persistent rain sweeps southeastwards.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Rather cloudy with areas of rain and showers sinking south. These could be heavy, especially in the south. Drier, settled weather gradually moving in from the north. Temperatures around average.
