Yellow weather warnings in place with flooded expected
Yellow weather warnings are in place for the north-west due to high amounts of rain - flooding of homes and businesses is likely.
The rain will will get less heavy as the day progresses, but still some heavy and possibly thundery showers for south-east Scotland and northern England.
Elsewhere in the UK there will be sunny spells with a few showers.
However, the south-west later will turn wet and windy.
Tonight Wales and much of England will see heavy rain, followed by thundery showers in the south.
There is also a yellow weather warning for the south-west England, with gale force winds expected.
