Met Office: Dry and bright before weekend heatwave hits UK

Thursday will be dry and bright across most of the UK on Thursday.

It will be rather a cloudy start for some and misty for a few coastal areas. However it'll be a largely dry and bright day across the UK, with highs of 24C in southern England and south Wales.

Cloud will roll in across Northern Ireland and central parts of England as the evening progresses.

Temperates will remain warm through the afternoon and into the evening, as the UK prepares for a scorching weekend.
