While the royal was a student at Eton College in 2001, Harry recalled a visit from a Royal Family bodyguard named Marko, whom he suspected had knowledge of the one-night stand.
During lunch in a city centre cafeteria, the bodyguard, with a “sombre look” upon his face, declared his intention to “find out the truth”.
The 38-year-old wrote: “I suspected he was referring to my recent loss of virginity, a humiliating episode with an older woman who liked macho horses and who treated me like a young stallion.
“I mounted her quickly, after which she spanked my ass and sent me away. One of my many mistakes was letting it happen in a field, just behind a very busy pub.
“No doubt somebody had seen us.”
Marko had in fact been sent to learn the truth about allegations regarding drug use from the young royal, which Harry said was “all lies”.

Three years on from the episode which Harry described as “embarrassing”, the Duke started dating Chelsea Davy.
The couple met while attending schools in London and dated on-and-off for six years from 2004.
The revelation is one of a spate of new claims from Harry in his new biography ‘Spare’, which is due for release next week.
The Duke said he had “begged Prince Charles not to marry Camilla” as he feared she would one day be his “wicked stepmother”.
Charles looked to “win over the kids” before asking the public to accept Camilla, according to the book.
Harry says meeting the Queen Consort for the first time was like an “injection”, writing: “Close your eyes and you won’t even feel it.”
The Duke explained: “I remember wondering… if she would be cruel to me; if she would be like all the wicked stepmothers in the stories.
“Willy had been suspicious of the Other Woman for a long time, which confused and tormented him; when those suspicions were confirmed, he felty agonising remorse for not having done or said anything before.”
