Nigel Farage labels Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ‘despicable’ for blaming racism on Brexit
GB News presenter Nigel Farage also accused Meghan Markle of using the documentary to launch her political career in America
Nigel Farage has called Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ‘despicable’ for blaming the racism towards Meghan on Brexit.
Details about the royal family and alleged racism and harassment from the British press were revealed in the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s six-part docuseries on Netflix.
In the first three episodes, which dropped at 8am on Thursday, Meghan told of finding the formality of royal life “surprising”, while Harry said his family’s view of his wife were “clouded” by her being an American actress.

Harry said negative press coverage about Meghan had a “race element” and that articles in the press had “racist undertones” as well as “outright racism”.
Elsewhere in the documentary, Author David Olusoga says: “I wanted it to work, so many people wanted it to work. But the fairytale is embedding itself in a nation that is having a pretty toxic debate about the European Union.”

There are then soundbites from former prime minister Boris Johnson and GB News presenter Nigel Farage.
Olusoga continues: “If you go back and look at the social media at that moment, immigration is at the absolute centre of those debates, and immigration is very often in this country a cypher for race”.

Prince Harry continues: “The EU commissioned a report in 2016, exactly the same that our relationship became public. It warned that if the Government isn’t going to do something or if the media aren’t going to sort themselves out, that a culture war that already existed was going to become huge and become a real problem.”
Nigel Farage responded by saying: “Well, perhaps no great surprise that Harry and Meghan choose to use Brexit as one of the causes for the terrible racism that was put against them.
“They draw on extreme left wing historians. They draw on fake news headlines from the Guardian and elsewhere.
“And what they're really saying is that 52 per cent of Prince Harry's country of birth are bad racist people.
“This is all about politics ultimately, isn't it? This is all about short-term make money out of dissing the royal family and the United Kingdom and then long-term give a political platform from which Meghan can launch her career in the USA.
“I think in their actions, their behaviour towards their family and everybody else, they are nothing short of despicable.”
