The man claimed that he was the victim of the assault

A woman in France has handed in the tongue of a man she claimed sexually assaulted her as evidence.

The woman, 57, told the French police she had been walking her dog at 4am on 19 February in Avignon, France, when a man started to follow her.

The man, in his 30s, then reportedly attempted to forcefully kiss her as he put his hands down her trousers.

As she struggled to avoid the man, she bite off his tongue and returned home.

It was then handed in to the local police by the woman and her son.

After officers visited the scene they arrested the man, originally from Tunisia.

It’s reported he was living in the country illegally.

When speaking to the police, the man tells officers he was the victim of the attack.

He reportedly said he was trying to charm the woman, but it was her who in fact assaulted him.

The man faces immediate trial and would be forced to leave the country.

It comes following a recent case in Spain where a woman cut off the penis of a man who tried to rape her.

The unnamed woman originally contacted the police to admit her assault, while the man was sent to hospital for an emergency operation in order to reattach his penis.

Both were arrested by the police, with the man charged with attempted rape, and the woman with assault and amputation.

In another similar case, a woman in India cut off her boyfriend’s penis after claiming she caught him trying to rape her 14-year-old daughter.

She told The Times of India: ”He even attacked me while I was trying to save my daughter, so I brought a knife from the kitchen and chopped off his private parts to teach him a lesson.

“I have no regrets for what I did.”
