Woke Disney bosses ‘bullying citizens’ but Florida ‘punching them back’
Disney opposes a bill which prohibits classroom instruction on sexual orientation or gender identity in nursery through to third grade
Disney bosses have been “bullying citizens into submission” over its woke views, Megyn Kelly has told GB News.
Last month, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill which prohibits classroom instruction on sexual orientation or gender identity in kindergarten through to third grade.
It also prohibits instruction that is not age appropriate for students and requires school districts to adopt procedures.
But Disney have opposed the bill, with DeSantis threatening to revoke its privileges if it fails to comply.
Speaking on GB News’ Dan Wootton Tonight, Ms Kelly backed the governor for standing up against “woke corporations”.
Ms Kelly said: “I don’t know that Florida won’t win this fight, but I’m not ready to bet against them.
“But what I think most of us over here on the side of reason is the fight itself, somebody is punching the bullies back in their noses and it’s about time.
“These woke corporations are used to doing whatever they want and bullying citizens into submission.
“The overwhelming majority of Florida citizens supported the DeSantis law that Disney took a stand against, and that law basically said that for kindergarten to third graders, we’re talking five to eight maybe nine-year-olds."
She continued: “You’re not allowed to, in the classroom instruction, include lessons about gender identify and sexual identity because they’re too young and it should be age appropriate, that’s it.
“The Floridians, including a majority of Democrats support the law, that’s why it passed and DeSantis signed it.
“Disney, however, with this very weird woke agenda feels differently.
“Disney which has devoted its entire business to the joy of children and treating children with respect has done a full 180, many people are saying they are ruling over in its grave now.”
