Whitehall on lockdown after man arrested between Trafalgar Square and Parliament

A 29-year-old man has been arrested at Horse Guards Parade in Whitehall with officers assisting the Ministry of Defence police at the scene.
As a result of the incident, the road is closed between Trafalgar Square and Parliament Square.
A statement from the Westminster branch of the Metropolitan Police read: "Officers are assisting the MoD police at Horse Guards following an incident earlier this morning.
"A 29-year-old has man has been arrested & is in custody.
"There are no reports of any injuries & there is no known risk to the public. Further updates will be provided in due course."
