Unvaccinated British holidaymakers may be banned from EU next summer

Brits may be banned from travelling to the European Union if they're not fully vaccinated against Covid under new rules being thrashed out today.

Under the current plans, which would apply to travellers from non-EU nations, the 'white list' of approved countries would be ditched in favour of making access contingent on whether or not the traveller has been jabbed.

Those fully vaccinated would be permitted to move freely, so long as their last dose was within the last nine months.

Boosters would be required for those whose vaccine had 'expired.'

The rules look likely to be in full effect by March 2022.

These measures arrive as EU nations battle to keep on top of their Covid infection rates.
