The money raised is set to cover the cost of hiring a van, fuel, ferry crossing, road tolls and anything needed to get the supplies to where they need to

Woking Vets FC has started an appeal to send much needed supplies to war-torn Ukraine.

The football club, which accepts veterans and non veterans alike, has recently been collecting daily essentials.

Formed in 2018, the club is now seeking help to raise money to pay for the transport to get the items to those in need.

GB News reporter Paul Hawkins wrote on Twitter: "My team @WokingVetsFC need donations urgently to help pay for the transportation of aid to #Ukraine in a transit van."

The money raised is set to cover the cost of hiring a van, fuel, ferry crossing, road tolls and anything needed to get the supplies to where they need to be.
