UK weather: Fine for many but cloudier and wetter in north
A closer look at today's weather...
Windier weather with rain, occasionally heavy, moves southeastwards across Scotland and Northern Ireland, eventually reaching parts of northern England and north Wales. Cooler than Friday here. Much of England and Wales seeing some warm sunshine, noticeably warmer in the southeast.
Rain continuing southwards to all but some southeastern areas of England, heaviest over some western hills. Low cloud and fog affecting some northern areas as the rain fizzles out. Milder.
England and Wales cloudy and cooler with occasional rain or drizzle, easing later, away from the southwest. Scotland and Northern Ireland drier but rather cloudy, just the odd light shower.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:
Rather cloudy with some showers and coastal fog patches. Temperatures around average, but feeling warm in any sunny spells with light winds. Becoming cooler for a time in the northeast
