UK weather: Cloudier, windier and milder than recently with the northwest seeing rain

Cloudy for most, with rain, drizzle and mist over western hills. Elsewhere often dry, with some brighter interludes in the east and south. Breezy but noticeably milder than recent days though turning colder again over north Scotland.


Rain for west and northwest parts, particularly Northern Ireland and Scotland. Some snow over the Highlands as well. Still breezy for many and mild for most, colder over northern Scotland.


Rain continuing for northern parts with snow over the Highlands, and perhaps to some lower parts of northern Scotland Tuesday afternoon and overnight into Wednesday. Mostly dry and mild elsewhere.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Rain and snow across Scotland Wednesday moving south, showers with bright spells elsewhere. Cold on Thursday and Friday with snow showers in the north, perhaps some rain far south. Windy.
