South Western Railway (SWR) has warned that their services could be disrupted for the remainder of the day due to "a low speed derailment" of a train.

The incident occurred in a depot between Fareham and Eastleigh.

On Twitter, SWR said: "At this time, we estimate that disruption to our services will continue for the whole day. We will let you know if this changes or when we have more information.

SWR have implemented a replacement bus service, but these will not run on a set timetable.

"To help you complete your journey; we have arranged replacement buses to stop at all stations between Eastleigh and Fareham. We expect an hourly service from 08:30 but buses are not running to a set timetable. Your journey will take longer than planned," the railway company said.

Severe delays on London Underground and overground are also seen today after a train broke down at Canary Wharf.

This caused bad disruptions to the Jubilee line and there is currently no service on the Overground between Surrey Quays and New Cross because of a broken down train at Shoreditch High Street.
