The Duchess of Sussex's father has launched his own YouTube channel to talk about his daughter and Prince Harry

Thomas Markle, the father of Meghan Markle, has lashed out at his daughter and her husband Prince Harry on his new YouTube channel.

In the debut video, Mr Markle, 77, refers to Harry as 'her ginger husband' and said he would “thrilled” to meet him and his estranged daughter in court.

His comments come after a bout of extensive legal drama between Meghan and her half-sister Samantha, who is suing the Duchess of Sussex for $75,000 (£57,000) in a defamation claim.

The older sister has accused Meghan of lying during her tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021.

The father of both women said he will give evidence against Meghan to bolster Samantha’s case.

He said: “I would be more than happy to. I’ve been trying for almost four years to get to see my daughter and her ginger husband in a courtroom face-to-face.

“I’d be thrilled to defend my oldest daughter.”

Mr Markle continued to say that Meghan should settle the case as “she can’t defend the things she said".

Speaking in the YouTube video, Mr Markle said: "I'm standing up for my oldest daughter, Samantha."

Responding to Samantha's legal bid, Meghan's lawyer Michael Kump told TMZ: "This baseless and absurd lawsuit is just a continuation of a pattern of disturbing behaviour.

"We will give it the minimum attention necessary, which is all it deserves."
