Tesco launch a huge 'surprise sale' with items flying off shelves for as little as 4p

Tesco is having a "secret sale" in selected stores with items going for as low as 4p.

Shoppers have been able to swoop in and save hundreds as a result of the flash price drops.

Many items from the Christmas stock have been heavily discounted following the festive period.

Despite this, a lot of the items remain in excellent condition, making them prime for a bargain buy.

The Mirror reports that a Minnie Mouse knitted jumper and trouser co-ord was marked down at £8 from £14, but scanned as 4p.

Parents have also taken to Facebook to report their purchases on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK page.

One user said: "Got the cutest Christmas dress to save for next year! Was £15, reduce to £6 but scanned at 4p from Tesco!”

Another parent said: "This kids Xmas jumper from Tesco was reduced from £10 to £1 but it scanned through the till at 4p! Safe to say, I'm very happy with that".

A third added: "Mini Mouse knitted jumper and trouser sets were £14, reduced to £8, scanned at 4p each!

The prices are likely to vary depending on each store, so you will have to head to Tesco in the near future to secure a deal.
