The jihadi husband of ISIS bride Shamima Begum says he still hopes to see the creation of an Islamic Caliphate.

The 29-year-old Yago Riedijk has reportedly also refrained from condemning the use of sex slaves and the beheading of people.

Mr Riedijk is currently incarcerated in a Kurdish run prison in the North of Syria and claims that terror attacks in Western nations were not ‘Islamicly responsible’ because Islam prohibits the killing of innocent people.

Speaking to the Mail Online he said the relationship he had with wife Shamima Begum was ‘beautiful’ under the terror extremist group ISIS, including mentioning baking cakes as a family.

The couple were married in 2015 when Shamima Begum was only 15-years-old, with the marriage taking place mere days after Begum arrived in Syria after fleeing London. All three of the couple’s children have died.

Shamima Begum was stripped of her citizenship by Sajid Javid in February 2019 when he was Home Secretary.

Mr Riedijk told Alan Duncan he wants to start another family with Shamima Begum as he urged her to fight the decision to strip her citizenship.

'There were some nice days with my wife and kids at home. Some beautiful memories,' he said.

When questioned on how much ISIS horror was observed by his wife Shamima, he did not comment but said bodies left on the street was not a pleasant picture, refusing however to condemn the beheadings
