Charred Russian military vehicles were scattered all over the streets of Bucha, a town north-west of Kyiv

A Russian convoy have been obliterated near Kyiv as Ukrainian forces continue to stand strong against an invasion on their capital city.

Incredible pictures have emerged of charred Russian military vehicles in the town of Bucha, north-west of Kyiv.

And while many locals walk past the rubble in somewhat disbelief in what they are seeing, others are deciding to salvage any ammunition left behind by the Russians as they continue to do everything, they can in order to defend their region.

Meanwhile, the eastern city of Kharkiv has been hit by multiple missiles strikes in the last 24 hours, with a police building and a University among the most recent buildings to be damaged.

This comes after a government building was attacked by Russian air strikes on Tuesday morning in a clear sign that Vladimir Putin is far from giving up.

At least 21 people have been killed and 112 wounded in Kharkiv in the last day, regional governor Oleg Synegubov said on Wednesday.

But Russia continues to struggle to break down the Ukrainian resilience around Kyiv, despite aerial footage showing a 40-mile long convoy of Russian vehicles being spotted heading towards the Ukrainian capital earlier this week.

Russia and Ukraine had entered peace talks earlier this week, but they broke down without a ceasefire agreement.

It is currently unknown when the next round of peace talks will take place.
