Rapper Hypo stabbed to death in London at Jubilee party - as Met Police appeal for people who filmed it
The singer, whose real name is Lamar Jackson, was killed in a fight at a Jubilee party
Rapper Hypo has been stabbed to death at a Jubilee party in Woodford Green, the Metropolitan Police have confirmed.
Paramedics attended a party at an address in Chigwell Road just after midnight, after a fight reportedly broke out.
Despite efforts to save the rapper, real name Lamar Jackson, paramedics pronounced the rapper dead at the scene.
The Hackney Rapper, filmed himself on Instagram on route to the event, later updating his followers with footage of him dancing in a marquee.
Hypo dated singer Emeli Sandé for almost a year, before parting ways in 2017.
The Met have opened a murder investigation following the stabbing, appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Detective Chief Inspector Laurence Smith said: “This man was attacked at a party and we know that a large number of people would have been in attendance.
“I would urge anyone who is yet to speak with us to come forward and let us know what you saw.
“It is possible that events leading up to the stabbing, and perhaps the murder itself, were captured on people’s phones.
“Please take a look and call us. It is vital that we establish what happened.”
Reports have suggested footage of the attack has circulated on social media.
A crime scene remains in place at the address and police said no arrests have been made.
