Prince Harry refused to have dinner with Charles and William after Meghan 'snub' on day Queen died
Prince Harry is reported to have been 'furious' that his wife was banned from travelling with him to say farewell to the Queen
Prince Harry refused dinner with King Charles III and his brother the Prince of Wales at Balmoral after his wife Meghan Markle was 'banned' from joining the Royal Family on the day the Queen died, sources have claimed.
The Duke of Sussex reportedly wanted his wife to join him as royals raced to the Scottish estate to say their final goodbyes to their beloved mother and grandmother on September 8.
However, Charles III instead phoned his youngest son and told him it was 'not appropriate' for the former Suits actress to be there, according to reports.
The Sun reports that Prince Harry missed a flight to Balmoral along with his brother the Prince of Wales, as he desperately pleased with his father to let the Duchess of Sussex travel with him. It meant that Prince Harry didn't arrive in time to say goodbye to his grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth. m
It's claimed that the Prince was so angry that Meghan wasn't able to join that he refused to have dinner with his brother William, Charles and Queen Consort Camilla. Instead, he ate with Prince Andrew and Sophie Wessex, before leaving early the following morning.
The Sun quotes a source as saying: 'Harry was so busy trying to get Meghan to Balmoral and rowing with his family that he missed the flight.
'Charles has an open invitation for Harry to dine with him whenever he is in the country.
'But Harry was so furious that he refused to eat with his father and brother.
'It was a massive snub. And he got out of Balmoral at the earliest opportunity to catch the first commercial flight back to London.'
Harry was the first member of the Royal Family to leave Balmoral - where he was pictured hugging an airport worker who passed on her condolences for the Queen's death.
Harry was photographed in the backseat of a Range Rover at 8.28am, having only arrived the night before at 7.52pm.
