Police dogs and drones are reportedly assisting with the search of the boy, who is believed to be between 3-5

Police are searching a town following reports that a young boy has been seen walking the streets wearing pyjamas.

Officers have been carrying out door-to-door enquires in Colwyn Bay, Wales in an attempt to find the boy.

He is believed to be between three and five years old and was least seen at approximately 10.30pm last night in the Church Walks area.

Members of the public were reportedly helping with the search, while police have also deployed dog teams and drones.

A statament released by North Wales Police late last night said: "T/Supt Jon Bowcott who is overseeing the search and investigation into the young child seen alone in Colwyn Bay yesterday evening would like to thank the public for their assistance, however we would now like members of the public to return home.

"Officers will continue to search for and attempt to identify the child through the night, along with professional search teams.

"There is currently a significant number of members of the public out searching for the child, and whilst initially helpful, this may now be causing the child, if still out to stay hidden.

"I want to repeat that we will continue to search for the child and conduct an investigation to identify them."
