Police officers are urgently appealing for information to trace a young girl who was last seen outside a pub in Dudley

Witnesses have described the girl as being very distressed before she got into a grey SUV-type car at around 7pm.

She was last seen on Dudley's Saltwells Road, outside The Woodman pub, at around 7pm.

A West Midlands Police statement reads: "Enquiries continue in a bid to trace the car, its registered keeper and the driver. We urgently need to make sure she is ok.

"We’re hoping someone will recognise the girl from this image captured on CCTV and get in touch.

"She is described as being around 14 years old with dark brown hair and was last seen wearing ripped blue jeans and a long sleeved white top.

"If you have information on her identity or whereabouts, please get in touch.

"Call us on 101 or message on Live Chat via our website. Alternatively, you can call the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

"Callers won’t be asked their names and calls cannot be traced. Please quote crime ref 20/493275/22 or log 3826 of 23/6."
