Wiltshire Police officers are still at Kennet and Avon Canal in Devizes where the body was found

Police are investigating after a body was discovered in a canal in Wiltshire on Saturday.

Officers from Wiltshire Constabulary are still at Kennet and Avon Canal in Devizes where the body was found.

A member of the public reported seeing the body near Caen Hill lock shortly before 9am.

The force has set up a scene of crime and said investigations are ongoing to identify the person found dead.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and quote log 88 of Saturday’s date (30/10).
