Bone went on to tell GB News that he may vote against the legislation outright

Speaking to GB News following last night's vote, Conservative MP Peter Bone, who chose to abstain on last night's motion, issued a warning to his party that they must "get back to cutting taxes, get back to growing the economy."

The senior backbencher added "if we don't do that, maybe a party will grow up saying ‘the Tories are no longer doing that'”.

He said that if the Conservative Party only focus on money put in rather than outcomes, "then we will be just like Gordon Brown."

Bone went on to tell GB News that he may vote against the legislation outright when it appears before the commons.
