Prime Minister Boris Johnson is addressing the House of Commons following the publication of the Sue Gray report.
He told the Commons: “Firstly, I want to say sorry – and I’m sorry for the things we simply didn’t get right and also sorry for the way this matter has been handled.
“It’s no use saying this or that was within the rules and it’s no use saying people were working hard. This pandemic was hard for everyone.
"I know what the issue is, it's whether this government can be trusted to deliver.
"And I say, Mr Speaker: Yes we can be trusted to deliver."
The Leader of the Opposition, Keir Starmer, reminded MPs that 12 parties are being investigated by police.
He said: "There can be no doubt that the Prime Minister himself is now subject of a criminal investigation."
"The PM must keep his promise to publish the Sue Gray report in full..."
"Funerals have been missed, dying relatives unvisited. Every family has been marked by what we've been through."
"People shouldn't feel guilty, they should feel pride."
Mr Starmer called on the PM to resign, he said in front of MPs.
Mr Starmer said the British people believe Boris Johnson should “do the decent thing and resign” but he is “a man without shame."
