Metropolitan Police in urgent appeal to trace man wanted on suspicion of rape

Metropolitan Police detectives are urgently trying to trace a man wanted on suspicion of raping a woman in West London

The alleged offence happened after a women reported getting into a white Toyota Prius at about 2:15am on Thursday, 7 April.

The victim told detectives she got into the vehicle in the area of Upper Street, Islington, in North London.


She told officers that the man drove her to an area around Wormwood Scrubs, in the Shepherds Bush area of West London.

Police say the woman was then raped in the car.

The woman is being supported by specialist officers.

Police say they urgently want to speak to Salad Ahmed Mohamed, 36, in connection with the offence.

Mohamed is described as black, of slim build and 5ft10" tall.

Detectives also want to trace the white Toyota Prius salad was using.

Mohamed is known to frequent the Islington, Finsbury Park, and South Tottenham areas.

Anyone seeing Mohamed is being warned not to approach him, but instead call 999 immediately.
