American journalist Megyn Kelly told GB News presenter Dan Wootton how the "Supreme Court nailed it" after the Roe vs Wade abortion ruling was overturned last week.
Ms Kelly condemned the original Roe vs Wade and Casey vs Planned Parenthood as "embarrassments as a legal matter" claiming that extensive support for the legislation was missing.
Abortion rights in the US will now be restricted or banned in many parts of the country, following a 6-3 ruling, powered by its conservative majority, upheld a Republican-backed Mississippi law that bans abortion after 15 weeks.
The justices held that the Roe vs Wade decision that allowed abortions performed before a foetus would be viable outside the womb – between 24 and 28 weeks of pregnancy – was wrongly decided because the US Constitution makes no specific mention of abortion rights.

Ms Kelly expanded upon how constitutional rights, even if they are not explicitly spelled out in the US Constitution, are considered implicit –but only when the right has a long history in American tradition and culture.
She added: "As of 1973, there was no such right here, there was no tradition in America that favoured abortion.
"In fact for the vast majority of American history, abortion was illegal in virtually every single state."
Celebrities have joined civilians in protesting against the overturning of the ruling, with artists at Glastonbury utilising their platform to speak out against the decision.
Pulitzer Prize-winning 35 year-old rapper Kendrick Lamar closed the festival with a poignant political speech condemning the overturning of Roe vs Wade by the US Supreme Court.
The rapper's final set ended with him chanting "Godspeed for women's rights" repeatedly before he dramatically exited the main Pyramid Stage.
Olivia Rodrigo bought special guest Lily Allen on stage during her performance on Saturday to sing a rendition of Ms Allen's 2009 hit F*** You in response to the decision.
Ms Kelly concluded her statement supporting the courts ruling in handing power back to individual states.
She said: "So what does that mean if it's not in the constitution, it means it's up to the states, as it was for the first 185 years.
"Now it goes back to where it belongs."
At least 25 states are poised to bring in new laws which will make it illegal to access abortion in many cases.
In some instances they will ban abortion where the pregnancy has come as a result of rape or incest.
