Meghan Markle's Deal or No Deal 'bimbo' comments slammed by one of the show's former 'briefcase girls'
50-year-old Patricia Kara starred in the show for its entire 2005-2009 run, appearing alongside Meghan
A former Deal or No Deal 'briefcase girl' has hit out at Meghan Markle's claim that she was reduced to a "bimbo" during her stint on the show.
50-year-old Patricia Kara starred in the show for its entire 2005-2009 run, appearing alongside Meghan in all 34 of the episodes the Duchess of Sussex appeared in between 2006 and 2007.
Meghan has made scathing remarks about her experience on the show, saying: "There were different stations for having your lashes put on, or your extensions put in, or the padding in your bra."
However, according to Ms Kara, no such station existed.
She told Inside Edition: "There was no bra station! There was no bra station."
When asked about Meghan's experience of being "objectified" and being made to feel like a "bimbo", the former show star says she does not feel "familiar" with the remarks put forward by the Duchess.
She said: '"Not at all. It's unfortunate that she felt that way because in my experience I never ever felt that way."
On the latest Archetypes podcast, Meghan opened up on her experiences of being on the popular NBC show.
She said: “I ended up quitting the show. I was so much more than what was being objectified on the stage.
“I didn't like feeling forced to be all looks. And little substance. And that's how it felt for me at the time being reduced to this specific archetype the word bimbo.
“It's a word that is used to cut down a beautiful woman to kind of say well she's beautiful, but maybe she's slutty or maybe she's silly or stupid.”
Reacting to her comments, Ms Kara said that she had no such negative experience, even returning to the show for its reboot in 2018.
