Meghan Markle urged to visit ill Thomas Markle after stroke – 'but there hasn't been any contact'
Royal expert Tow Bower said if Meghan was compassionate "she would go to her father's bedside"
Meghan Markle has been urged to visit her dad Thomas Markle after he suffered a stroke.
GB News’ presenter Dan Wootton revealed yesterday that Mr Markle has been taken to hospital following the health scare.
Dan also said that Mr Markle has lost his speech and is currently receiving emergency treatment in the US.
Mr Markle is reportedly receiving the treatment several hours' drive away from the Montecito mansion where Meghan and Prince Harry live.
And royal expert Tom Bower has urged Meghan to reach out to her dad, something he claims she is yet to do.
Mr Bower said: "If we knew what she was going to do, that would be terrific. But what we do know is that Meghan has always said that she's a very compassionate person.
“And if compassion was at all necessary right now, it would mean she would go to her father's bedside, about two and a half hours' drive south of where she lives and give him some comfort and reassurance.
"We wait to see what happens."
Mr Bower has written several high-profile books on members of the Royal Family.
He told ITV's Good Morning Britain: “We know she hasn't. There hasn't been any contact since just before the wedding day - other than the famous letter."
Mr Markle was intending to travel to the UK for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in the coming weeks, but the stroke has put an end to those plans.
Speaking on GB News’ Dan Wootton Tonight last month, Mr Markle said he wants to meet and personally thank Prince Charles for walking his daughter Meghan down the aisle during her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry.
He added: "I'm going to show my respects to the Queen, I'm going to make sure that the Queen understands that my entire family respects the Queen and the royals and we admire them."
