Meghan Markle did not contact her dad Thomas Markle on his birthday, her half-brother has confirmed.
Thomas Markle celebrated his 78th birthday on Monday, the same day as Meghan was seen alongside her husband Prince Harry at a UN event in New York.
But despite hope that the Duchess of Sussex would reach out to her dad on his birthday, she failed to do so, her half-brother Thomas Markle Jr has confirmed to the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden.
Meghan and Mr Markle were due to come face to face during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations earlier this year.

But just days before Mr Markle was due to fly to the UK for the celebrations, he suffered a stroke.
At the time, GB News’ presenter Dan Wootton revealed that Mr Markle had been taken to hospital following the health scare.
Dan also said that Mr Markle has lost his speech and received emergency treatment in the US.
Her latest snub comes on the same day she was hailed for passing a bottle of water back to the woman in a bid to clear her throat during a UN event.
Following the gesture, one person wrote on social media: “The kindness everyone who knows Meghan keeps talking about.”
Another added: “That’s our gal never misses a beat. Always aware of her surroundings and will help if needed.”
While a third person said: “It all just comes natural to them...looking after and looking out for each other, such an amazing couple.”
