The pair are expected to travel to the UK in the coming days ahead of the Jubilee weekend

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly going to “keep it simple” in a bid not to overshadow the Queen during the upcoming Jubilee celebrations.

The couple, alongside their children Archie and Lilibet, are due to arrive in the UK in the coming days to celebrate Her Majesty’s 70 years in reign.

Meghan recently had her Pearl Netflix series dropped after the streaming giant saw a drop in subscribers.

As a result, the couple have reportedly began filming an “at home with the Sussexes” docuseries, which Netflix hopes to air later this year.

There has been fears that Meghan and Harry could bring the docuseries with them to the UK, with some worried that it could mar the Jubilee.

But now, reports suggest that the pair will not be conducting any of their own events during the weekend.

The couple will travel to the UK without any senior staff, while only a small security team will accompany them, according to ITV.

The news comes just a day after Meghan’s brother, Thomas Markle Jr hit out at the Duchess’ decision not to reach out after her father suffered a major stroke.

She has since been seen in Texas laying flowers at a memorial for the 21 children and teachers killed in a school shooting earlier this week.

Speaking on GB News’ Dan Wootton Tonight, Thomas Jr said: “I honestly don’t know what Meghan’s agenda is, I’m just telling you from a standpoint of view.

“It’s totally wrong what she’s done, it’s the most insensitive, inconsiderable thing I’ve ever seen in my life.

“She went there three days prior, she’s had every opportunity (to reach out).

"And it probably was most likely a PR stunt, the cameras there, the little walk she did like she was on a stage, it just didn’t make any sense.”

He added: “If she wanted to reach out to my father she has had every opportunity.

“As far as a PR stunt goes, maybe her saying that she tried to reach out is trying to make herself look better.

“I mean she’s got to pay her PR team ridiculous amounts of money to do this, she has to give them content, somebody has to be telling these people what to do and what to print.”
