McDonald’s is launching a new permanent chicken burger item on its menus for the first time since 2007.

The fast-food giant says the McCrispy burger will be the "crispiest, crunchiest chicken burger out there".


It will be available in stores from October 19.

The burger contains a crunchy chicken fillet that is marinated in black pepper.

While the meat is also accompanied by lettuce, mayonnaise with a hint of truffle and is sandwiched between a four-inch artisan glazed bun.

A McCrispy extra-value meal is set to cost customers £6.49.

The rollout of the new burger comes after the item was trialled in 50 branches across the country in March.

After it was a hit with customers, they have decided to roll it out across its stores from next week.
