McDonald’s is launching a new permanent chicken burger item on its menus for the first time since 2007.

It will be available in stores from October 19.

While the meat is also accompanied by lettuce, mayonnaise with a hint of truffle and is sandwiched between a four-inch artisan glazed bun.

A McCrispy extra-value meal is set to cost customers £6.49.

The rollout of the new burger comes after the item was trialled in 50 branches across the country in March.

After it was a hit with customers, they have decided to roll it out across its stores from next week.
