Mark added 'this is the first acknowledgment by the Government that the vaccines kill people'

Mark Steyn has labelled the decision to recognise a man who died from a Covid-19 vaccine ‘a breakthrough”.

GB News exclusively revealed yesterday that Vikki Spit, a woman whose 48-year-old fiancé Lord Zion died two weeks after having the AstraZeneca jab, will become the first person in the UK to receive a Covid vaccine damage payment of £120,000.

Until now, no lump sums have been issued to more than 1,300 people who claimed damage claimants for Covid jab-related injuries and bereavements, despite reports more than 400,000 people have reported vaccine side effects to the Yellow Card Scheme.

Speaking on his show on GB News this evening, Mark hailed the news.

He said: “This is the first acknowledgment by the Government that the vaccines kill people.

“That’s a breakthrough because a zillion internet trolls insists there are no such persons as Vikki, now the Government says there are.”

On GB News yesterday, Ms Spit, 39, said the news was the “first step in the battle”, but vowed to fight on for others who are in a similar situation.

She said: “It’s the first step in the battle.

"People can no longer sneer at us and say 'we’re making stuff up' and pretending we don’t exist.

“This isn’t about money as nothing can bring back the people we have lost. This is about recognition.

“I think it is disgusting that widows and injured people have had to fight for a year to get this support, we aren’t finished yet."

She also paid tribute to the support GB News has provided her, adding: “I’m certain that if we hadn’t kicked up a fuss and come onto GB News with Mark, this never would have happened.”
