The supermarket apologised for any inconvenience caused.
Supermarket Lidl has issued an urgent product recall after warning that their grated cheese may contain plastic.
The budget supermarket say the item is “unsafe to eat” as a result.

Issuing a statement, they said: “Lidl GB is recalling Simply Grated Cheese, 500g with Best Before Date 23/12/2022 due to potential presence of pieces of plastic in the product, which makes this product unsafe to eat.
