The Labour MP branded unvaccinated people as 'selfish'

Labour MP Emily Thornberry has revealed she would never date someone who has not been vaccinated.

The Islington South MP spoke out against people who have refused to get themselves jabbed.

The Shadow Attorney General went on to discuss "red line" dating issues, and what for her would be a deal-breaker.

She said: "I wouldn't go out with someone who wasn't vaccinated."

Ms Thornberry went on to add that the argument was purely hypothetical, as she has been married since 1991 and has three children.

She added: "Well first of all I would say I was married. I'm out, yeah really."

Tory MP Bob Seely argued that not everyone who refuses a vaccine is a conspiracy theorist.

But Ms Thornberry added that unvaccinated people are selfish.

She also told Peston on ITV: "I don't care. It shows him to be selfish, to not care about the community, to not have a sense of responsibility.

"I think that we owe it to others to be vaccinated, not just ourselves."

The programme had run a poll for Brits to decide their biggest dating turn off.

Covid vaccination status came in second, with Brexit topping the survey.

Dating platforms in the UK such as Bumble have rolled out features which allow singletons to tell people if they have been vaccinated in their pictures.

Vaccinated people under the age of 30 have also been offered perks by other apps.
