Klitschko brothers issue heartwarming thanks to the women of Ukraine
'We never give up, we defend our families. It’s the main reason why we are together here,' said the Mayor of Kyiv
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and his brother, boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko, have expressed on GB News how grateful they are to the women of Ukraine.
Wladimir said while having his blood brother to lean on for support is important, he "feels the unity" in his country through the female fighters defending against The Kremlin's brutal attacks.
He said: "I am proud and I feel the unity in this country with our sisters, speaking of women who are standing in arms with men and defending our country, homes, children and freedom."
Speaking exclusively with Alastair Stewart, he reiterated: "It gives us such unity and so much will and our will is much stronger than any army and any weapon".
Vitali poignantly added: "We never go to the knee, we never give up, we defend our families. It’s the main reason why we are together here."
Women make up 15 percent of Ukraine's army. Ukraine’s foreign ministry expressed their gratitude on Twitter: “According to the latest survey, more than 15 percent of the regular Ukrainian army are women.
"The Number of those who defend Ukraine now in a different way is impossible to count. Thank you!”
In a heartwarming moment today on Alastair Stewart and Friends, the Mayor of Ukraine's capital city thanked his famous brother for using his connections around the world to supply humanitarian and financial aid to citizens.
