The Ukrainian Interior Minister says "practically there are no areas left in Kharkiv where an artillery shell has not yet hit"

Devastating footage of Ukraine’s second largest city, Kharkiv, has emerged after further missile strikes hit overnight.

A police building, a local hospital, and a flight school were among the areas to have been hit by the most recent attacks.

This comes after a government building was shelled on Tuesday morning, with footage showing the chilling extent to the damage caused by that incident.

And fresh footage released by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine showed the carnage left behind by the latest attacks, with smoke and fire bellowing out of a regional police department as firefighters rush to put out the blaze.

In a statement on Telegram on Wednesday, the Ukrainian army also confirmed that Russian airborne troops have landed in Kharkiv.

The statement added: “There is an ongoing fight between the invaders and the Ukrainians.”

Meanwhile, an adviser to the Ukrainian interior minister said: “Practically there are no areas left in Kharkiv where an artillery shell has not yet hit.”

At least 21 people were killed and 112 wounded in Kharkiv in the last 24 hours, regional governor Oleg Synegubov said on Wednesday.

Elsewhere, Russia continues to struggle to capture Kyiv, despite footage showing a 40-mile convoy of Russian military vehicles north of the capital.
