The ex-employee took to TikTok to explain how KFC lovers can even get free food

A former KFC worker has shared his top tips on how people can order the best and cheapest food from the chicken chain.

The ex-employee used his TikTok account @JoshFedUp to explain how lovers of the restaurants can get the freshest meals, and even spoke out on how you can get free food.

His first tip is to swap the drink in a meal for an extra side, essentially bagging yourself free food in the process.

He said: "Literally no one knew this who was ordering, if you don't want a drink you can swap it for a side.

"I do this every time I go to KFC or pretty much any fast-food place. Lots of places do it."

Josh also urged people to avoid ordering online during peak times because your food will likely arrive after “sitting on a counter”.

He added: "I would avoid ordering food for delivery at peak times.

"If you can, go into the store because your food will be so much fresher and it won't end up sitting on a counter for 10 minutes."

Good manners can also go a long way if you want to swap certain items in you meal, Josh says.

"If you don't want fries at KFC and you ask nice enough they'll swap it for a side," he continued.

His final tip is to ask for no ice when ordering a drink.

That’s because he claims the ice sits around in a cooler for hours before being served.

He said: "If you order a drink, ask for no ice.

"The ice sits in that cooler for hours, especially when it's quiet, just out in the open for hours."
