A handwritten style image accompanied the tweet, saying: "I'm taking a 30-day cleanse. A verbal fast. No alcohol. No adult films. No intercourse. In God we praise. Amen."

However, West implied that the fast does not extend to his social media platforms, confirming that his Twitter will remain "lit".

The rapper, who legally changed his name to Ye last year, has only just had his account on the social media platform re-instated.

He lost his access to Twitter after announcing he was "going death con 3 ON JEWISH PEOPLE" before alleging he wasn't "antisemitic because black people are actually Jew also".

West is currently locked out of Instagram for a 30-day period after violating their policies.

In a post on the photo-sharing platform, he accused Sean "Diddy" Combs of being controlled by "the Jewish people".
