Former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has slammed Boris Johnson's Government following the ongoing fiasco regarding the handling of allegations against Chris Pincher.
In a tweet to his followers the MP for Islington North said: "12 years of cruel Tory rule inflicting pain for the many to feather the beds of the few.
"Johnson should resign now but real change can only come when the Tories are swept away and replaced with a people's Government to redistribute wealth and power."
His comments follow the continuing scandal embroiling the government, regarding the handling of allegations against former Deputy Chief Whip Chris Pincher.

Despite mounting pressure on him to resign from his role, the Prime Minister remained chipper this afternoon, when he appeared at the Liaison Committee.
The Prime Minister was questioned at the Liaison Committee by SNP MP Angus Brendan MacNeil about his future in No 10.
He declined to speculate, telling the committee that he would not give a “running commentary” on his career.

Boris Johnson maintained his positive outlook saying he was having a “terrific” week, despite an onslaught of Tory resignations in the previous 24 hours.
At PMQs earlier today, Mr Johnson was scrutinised by MPs and the current Leader of the Opposition, Sir Keir Starmer.
Responding to a chorus of cheers from the opposition benches as he opened proceedings, Sir Keir said: “Awful behaviour, unacceptable in any walk of life, it's there for all to see but he ignores it.
“It was the same when his ally was on the tape from the lobbyists.
“It was the same when the Home Secretary was bullying staff, it was the same when taxpayers money was being abused.
“And it was the same when he and his mates were partying during lockdown.
“Anyone quitting now after defending all that hasn’t got a shred of integrity.
“Isn’t this the first recorded case of the sinking ships fleeing the rat?”
Mr Johnson had to contend with a luke-warm reception from his own party, but still enjoyed enthusiastic cheers from loyalist Tories choosing to back the PM.
Mr Corbyn was likened to Boris Johnson by his sucessor at Prime Minister's Questions last month, when the Labour Leader read out a list of comments made about the Prime Minister by his own MPs.
The Labour leader told the Prime Minister: "My personal favourite is this: this is a document circulated by his backbench, in which they call him the 'Conservative Corbyn'.
"Prime Minister, I don't think that was intended as a compliment."
