Hedley enjoyed a career in both television and film spanning several decades, including an appearance in Lawrence Of Arabia in 1962.

Actor Jack Hedley, who had roles in a James Bond film and Only Fools And Horses amid a long career, has died aged 92, according to a death notice in The Times.

Hedley died on December 11 after a short illness and, at his request, a funeral will not be held.


“He will be much missed by his family and friends,” the notice continued.

Hedley enjoyed a career in both television and film spanning several decades, including an appearance in Lawrence Of Arabia in 1962.

In 1981 he played Sir Timothy Havelock, a British marine archaeologist, in the James Bond film For Your Eyes Only with Roger Moore.

He also had roles in sitcoms Only Fools And Horses in 1986 and ‘Allo ‘Allo in 1992.
