Police urge witnesses to come forward after the boy was seriously injured in the collision in Harlington

A six-year-old boy is in a critical but stable condition in hospital after being hit by a moped in a suspected hit-and-run.

Police are urging witnesses to come forward after the boy was seriously injured in the collision in Harlington, west London, on Friday.


Officers were called at about 8.15pm to reports of a collision in Sipson Lane, near to the High Street.

It was reported that a moped, travelling towards the High Street, had been involved in a collision with the boy and failed to stop at the scene.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital, where he is in a critical but stable condition, the Metropolitan Police said.

No arrests have been made.

Officers from the serious collision investigation unit (SCIU) are keen to hear from any drivers who were in Sipson Lane from 8pm and who may have recorded the events leading up to the incident on dash cam.

Any witnesses yet to speak with police are asked to call the SCIU at Alperton Traffic Garage on 020 8246 9820 quoting CAD 7022/09July.
